After a very trying 48+ hours, our dog Belle has given birth to 5 beautiful puppies.

She had a very tough delivery that is a long story, but here's the short version;
She started the labor process about 8am on Thursday.
But, after 24 hours we are pretty worried and contact the vet and make an appointment for 2pm yesterday.
We are facing a C-section which will be about $1000 which we don't have. ( Michelle is still on disability since Oct, and the facility where I worked is closing so I'm out of work now too)
We take a cash advance on the last credit card we own . While we are at the bank getting the last $1000 we have on the card, our son calls and says that the water has broken.This happens at the exact moment the teller hands the cash through the window.
So we cancel the appointment and head home hoping for the best.
After another 8 hours of no babies and the momma getting very fatigued we call the vet and describe whats going on.
The Vet says we need to bring her in to have a possible C-section and time is of the essence.
*I'm crying*
We head down to the Emergency Vet, they do X-rays and the first baby is stuck in the birth canal. It is "twisted" and is trying to come out neck first which is impossible. The C-section must be done or all will die.
*more crying*
The cost?
$2500
that's $1500 more than we scraped together
*more crying*
I don't wanna lose the momma or the babies.
We apply for credit at the place for the other $1500 and get approved at 24.99% ( no interest if I pay it off in 6 months)
they start the procedure but say the "twisted" puppy will most likely not make it and it's iffy on the others .
*more crying*
The nurses come out in about 30 minutes holding some puppies and they are ok, so we ask about the "twisted" one.
They say "we are working on that one"
10 minutes later we get the news;
The "twisted" puppy is going to be ok.
*more crying*

Momma and the babies all came home this morning and are going to be fine.

Oh, my, god... That was a hell of a story :O
I'm so glad everything went well! And they'r so cute! You and your dog can be proud ^^
Do you got any names for them? If not, maybe the members here can give you some sugestions ;)

Would love to see a video of them :)

P.S. I like the twisted one ^^ he's cool ;) But the one who you said on yoru FB lookt like a cow was a nice one too hah... they'r all super nice ;)

"twisted" is actually a girl
one of 2.
the other 3 are male obvioulsy.
No names yet
"Twisted" or "Twister" might actually stick. If she was a boy, I'd name him "Lucky"
One has the same markings as the dad, but on the opposite eye, so he is "Dexter Jr."
One looks like a cow, but I already had a cat named "Cow"
One will probably be named "Boba" because I will most likely be selling my costume to pay for the Vet Bill. Seriously
We only plan on keeping one (my daughter requested one) and selling the others.
they are Purebred Jack Russell Terriers. We own both parents already and 5 more of them might be a little much LOL

I'm so glad that things turned out for both Twister/Twisted and the Mom... not leaving out her other brothers and sisters... (y)

Thank you everyone.
The puppies had their dewclaws removed and their tails docked yesterday.
Fortunately, I didn't have to be in the room when they did it.
They are 4 days old now and are bigger than you would imagine given the size of Belle
The eyes and ears won't open for another 1 to 2 weeks, but they won't be able to see clearly for 3.
Dexter is scared to death of the pups and won't go near Belle because she is in full on mother-mode.

Here's the babies;

Belle's belly was shaved for the surgery, so she looks funny

The babies are week old now. Their eyes will be opening in a few days.
they are getting bigger by the day.
here's few shots
here's Boba

Thats funny. Our "Mamma Great Dane" started giving birth on the Sat before Easter and we had to do the Emergency C section too on Easter Sun. We managed to save 7 out of ten of the babies. Fortunately for us we live in rural Oklahoma and the vets assistant refused to come in so the wife and I assisted in the procedure. It only cost us $504 after the deductions for our help. They are expensive but worth it in a few months as they start to sell. Congrats brother!

It's hard to believe, but...
The babies are now 6 weeks old!!!
Soon they will go to new homes.
I will miss them.
