Bobby Fett UK
Well-Known Hunter
Hey guys. So recently a good friend of mine stopped by the workshop to collect his finished helmet that I had painted for him. He asked about the metal harness rig, as he had been lucky enough to try one on already. So we got talking and one thing led to another. Now I know the accurate Boba rig is a little excessive, but the goal here was two fold, to achieve the correct mounting of the pack, Jango wears it very high, and to get a comfortable support for trooping. The obvious advantages of the metal frame is the massive support it offers for posture and weight distribution, anyone who has tried them will concure I am sure.
Here is the result.
Now, what I did not take a photo of is the mountings, set inside the pack, a good 2 inchs lower than the standard Boba mountings, as supplied by BM. We opted to replicate the mounting points through the hatch, which seems to be the way the screen used pack is mounted, by using this method you can get the pack much higher. The whole thing can then be but on and tightened up with the vest on.
