Greetings everyone! I'm new to this fantastic forum. I'm really impressed about what some of you have created. True works of ART!
I've recently bought a Don Post 1995 helmet (white interior) and I want to repaint it. I'm a professional artist, specialized in 17th century layered oil-painting (if you want to see my paintings: http://www.jeroenvanvalkenburg.nl ), and I was wondering if any of you painted their helmet with oils and what were your experiences? I can mix the colors till they are exactly right, but I have no experience in creating damage effects. I hope someone can give me some advice.

For bounty hunter helmet, I believe most people here uses acrylic paints.

Oil paints comes in just to provide shadowing and weathering purposes.
