WIP: Skip's Pepakura Boba Fett Bucket

Al

New Hunter
I posted a couple of my progress pictures on Skip's thread. However I didn't want to clog up his thread with my progress pictures. So I'll be posting all my progress pictures here. Any suggestions that will help me along the way are more then welcome.
Thanks for looking
Al

Small update on my bucket. I finally added resin to the exterior. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to fiberglass the interior. Then one more coat on the outside and I'm ready for the bondo and sanding :)

I ended up filling the ears with permastone. I'm going to end up scraping that idea because I saw some reference photos and this material will end up breaking off. Permastone works great if the piece is sold however if the piece becomes to thin it can easily break, however the permastone should work great for the other ear pieces. Unless I redesign the ear for my bucket. :confusedhmmmm.......

quick update, since my last post I've fiber glassed inside of the bucket and now have added bondo to the dome and sanded it down. I still have a couple of more hours of sanding till I'm done.

Sorry, for all three of you following this post ;) Ive been busy with work, school, and mostly COD 4 MF2. I did a couple of things as you'll see below. I used foam as a mold and poured added resin in the key slots and to the side of the head where the range finder is attached. I'm also starting to cut out the arrows on the front of the head. I need other tools to complete the job so hopefully I can start dry fitting all of the components soon. Let me know what you guts think.

looking good, keep up the good work, oh and nice R2!! i have always wanted build one, but lacking the right kind of funds for that project.

After two years of this bucket just looking at me I decided to finally finish it.
Below are some of my progress pictures. I'd like your opinion on the weathering.
I feel as I went a little overboard.

I thought my bucket was too clean so I weathered it a bit more using this black paint. The pictures below show some of the areas I've weathered with the black paint. I thought it came out really well. Again any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
