Fiberglass Repair

This last weekend the bond on a hinge on one of my Fett gaunletts came apart so I need to re-glue it back on... I'll probably just JB weld it back on like I had originally but what I am also looking at is adding a layer of Fiberglass on the inside to strengthen it and help stop it coming apart as well... So where is the best place to get some fiberglass and resin for a repair like this? I seem to recall possibly Lowes (or Home Depot) but is there anywhere else that might? A car repair place like Auto Zone?

Thanks

Kragens, PepBoys, or almost any auto supply place should carry repair kits that will work. Also places like TAP plastics, if you have one there.

Try using epoxy laminating resin with fiberglass; Smooth-On has some really strong resins for that purpose. You can get these products from:
Nelson Burke Co.
Atlanta, GA
404-685-8804
www.theengineerguy.com

You can clean rtv molds using 90% isopropyl alcohol.
