Wizard World Chicago

I really wanted to go but it was soo expensive. I have wanted to go to WWC for years now some one needs to do a tutorial on doing a con on the cheap :cry

Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.

I'll be there as usual. Jango Fett. only Saturday.

Next year Pre-Pro Boba Fett

I'll be there too. Not sure when yet. No Fett for me this year, but I MAY have my proton pack ready. I'm waiting on one part for it but it might not be in my hands in time for WW.

I hope you guys have a great time, I've got obligations on Saturday and won't make it. Truth is though, about a year ago I got a mannequin for Fett, set him up, and I haven't worn him since. Same with my stormtrooper. I just don't have much of a desire to "troop" much anymore, but I suppose I'd take them out of retirement if Celebration came back to Indianapolis! I will miss seeing and hanging out with you guys though!

Meet JB Friday at Wizard World and brought the lifecast for a photo op. He talked highly of TDH and mentioned how he received calls/email/snailmail from everyone under the sun offering crazy amounts of money for a cast. (y):cheers to TDH and to DAZ for offering this up!

WWC is over....and man am I beat!!

I have a couple of good pics I will get uploaded later. I think the funniest one is where Daniel Logan liked the fan in my helmet so much he wanted to start wearing it at his booth!

It was a good Con, but I think it may have been the last year for it with the NY ComicCon people bringing their Con in April.

We shall see...

Pics forthcoming.

Had a lot of fun this past weekend at what is now officially being called Chicago Comic-Con. Only real SNAFU was the air conditioning bombing out on Saturday, the busiest day. It was working fine today.

Here are some pics from the event:

My sons and I meeting Margot Kidder:

Probably the nicest, most genial guy at the Con, Roddy Piper:

More to come!

Okay, part two of the pictures:

What I noticed at this Con, was there seems to be a really entrenched Star Wars fandom in younger kids, no doubt driven by the success of The Clone Wars series. Waiting in line for Steve Sansweet's Star Wars panel on Saturday, my boys started playing with a bunch of other boys who ran around one of the big lobbies, chasing a mini Boba Fett - it was awesome to watch - unbridled youth 'playing Star Wars.'

Here's a pic of the crew:

Ernie Hudson, who enjoyed big lines on Sunday:

Lori Petty, who did not seem to have a lot of success - no doubt her standoffish demeanor, the sunglasses, and an ever-present bottle of hand sanitizer did not help:

Jake Busey with a fan:

Ted Dibiase and Virgil:

I'll end with a surreal pairing: Christopher Knight and his wife, Adrianne Curry, dressed as a certain slave girl, posing with a fan:
