Bobamaker ESB Completed

Hey guys, I got my bobamaker helmet today. the 4 month wait was well worth it!

I got it at 2:20 today and I immediately started working on it.

I laid down the base coats so far, and I just finished with the killstripes. The paints I used are all from RS's paint list. The only paint I couldnt find was Caboose, so I mixed up a normal PS red with PS night black and achieved a similar color.

Here are some pics.

Let me know what you think. This isnt done by a longshot, but it is close.

edit- By the way, all the colors seem to be much brighter. They are more subtle in fact.

Hey buddy, not sure what you mean by painting uses. I think you are asking what paints I used. I used all the paints from Rogue Studios list of pollyscale paints.

wow really good, How long has that taken you so far?

Thanks. About 9 ours is all this has taken me so far. I got some more work done on it today. The back is not even close to being halfway finished.

Thanks. It is'nt as good as anything SJ has painted, but it is my first ESB so I think it is looking alright. Does anyone recomend a good out of the bottle chrome, or silver paint? I do not like the testors silver at all, it goes on unevenly and just doesnt look too good.

That is beautiful!

G-Fett

Thanks brother!

I like the video showing your helmet from all sides.

And I like the way you painted up your gauntlets! Great skills you have there!

I guess you use an airbrush, aren´t you?

Manuel, I use an airbrush to get the main colors down and go topical.

Let me tell you guys that this helmet fits great even with the MQ-1. My head is pretty big, and it really FITS like bobas helmet should. It is also perfect for my body type, since I am not 6 feet tall.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the comments guys. This is my first ESB helmet so it is alot of fun to work with. I might post a tutorial for the RF led assembly in the future, but it is pretty complicated and you can just buy the board from a member here.
