Alli Ears for FPH mounting question

I have a set of Spidey's aluminum ears designed for the FPH. I printed off the template that Evan4218 posted for those ears.

My question is, once I get it lined up where I want it, there is a strip of helmet left at the bottom that is not covered by the ears (seen in the pic attached as a caboose section under the black of the template). What do you do with this? Leave it? To be sure, I placed the resin ears that came with the FPH on the helmet and I'm left with the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'd say match the curves at the tops of the ears and don't fret about that little bit of space at the bottom. It won't be noticeable once the ears are in place.
Also, I'd recommend drilling the holes just slightly larger than the attach screws so you have just a bit of play in positioning them.
