UPDATE ON NEW SERVER

Just wanted to drop a line to let you all know where we are with the new server.

We now have a new server in place that is more than twice as powerful as the current server we now are hosting the board on. With the move to the new server we want to implement a few changes as we have to do a new installation anyway.

New WIKI: I know you are probably thinking "didn't we just get a wiki?" Yes, YOU did, but we have actually had the wiki in place for quite some time. Unfortunately, in that time the wiki has gone from supported to unsupported status. While we love the tight integration of nuwiki, it does not currently support our needs. We will be migrating to mediawiki, a more robust, more popular, more stable, and more supported software.

New Gallery: We currently use "photoplog" as our gallery, but like nuwiki, it has become a bit cumbersome and doesn't best server our needs. We will be moving to the more rubust Menalto Gallery 2.3 which will allow us to finally group all of our images together (reference material and member showoff pages).

We are very excited about these changes as we feel they will serve this community much more effectively than the current software. However, we have a lot of work ahead of us in trying to migrate the old info to the new platforms. We hope to have this complete before the end of the year.

Finally, as a teaser only... We are working on a new, more unified look that will bring the webpage, wiki, gallery, and forums even more closely integrated!
