I'm a Systems Administrator by day, and a prop builder by night (and the daddy of my 7 month old son 24/7!). :)

Gil, having done both, I would STRONGLY recommend going into the IT field. It pays much better, even in these lean times, and there is a LOT less stress. I really feel for those in law enforcement as that was one of the most high-tension jobs I have ever worked. I enjoyed the occasional thrill (and don't fool yourself into thinking COPS is what Police work is like) but the things you see people do to themselves and each other can easily make you turn very bitter and sour...

BTW, I am currently a Systems Admin for a division of Lennox Air Conditioning. If I coul djust find a way to make this Fett stuff pay....

Well, let's see...I was a Historical Interpreter, a Special Events Manager for the Bronx Zoo, A Magician and Batman for parties (part time), and most recently sales for a hotel/conference center until I lost my job.

Present status - unemployed...but looking.
