*Official* what does everyone do for a living?

Nope, not Chris S. I'm sure he would have gone through BUD/S after 1995 anyway (I think it was 95-97, somewhere in there), so your path's probably never crossed. I was just interested. :) I respect you for lasting through what is reported to be the toughest training course in the US military and then your time on the Teams. That just might put you the closest to Boba in badass-ness on this board.

Currently an out-of-work actor (what's new?), but not a waiter yet, . ...I get by ok doing custom work for dioramists and many contract-type jobs involving building things. Worked for years as a cook in a "Continental" kitchen, and still poke around in my brother's restaurant for "gas money" sometimes :). ...Did the bartender, nursery foreman, hazardous tree removal lumberjack, furniture delivery guy, ditch-digger, etc. thing too.

By Day I work for the county maintenance department. Electrical, pluming, computers, all that fun stuff.
By night, I am sometimes seen flying in my sleek aircraft, wearing my mysterious armor, as i search and seek individuals who have bounties on them. I come very reasonable, the only problem is here lately, my son has been asking me how to disentigrate people, it sometimes gets me sidetracked....But gotta love him cause well, he just looks too much like me, it sometimes scares me.

I guess calling myself an "arteest" sounds too pretentious.

well... I'll be the pretentious one here :)

I'm a artist and foundryman. I sculpt but also do the occasional painting... What's sad is that I'm so much more appreciated for prop making than my personal art... :)

As for the foundry, I do just about verything but pouring the metal is the funest part!

I'm a accounts payable clerk by day and a piano teacher by evening and late nights a zammer. I like greeblies :) My husband got me into this sw mess. And now I'm addicted. Just look at all my posts on the zam wesell forum. I just hope I don't become an unemployed pregnant zam anytime soon. LOL:lol:

How come I'm not surprised a lot of sw costumers are cops? I.e. 501 troopers at cII, I wouldn't be surprised if half of them were really cops/military.

My Dream jobs= working with John Williams by day for the next ep., and sculpting for ILM/whatever lucas company in the evening. Dream the impossible dream...hehe

I'm currently pretending to be a marketing/creative manager for a Minneapolis, MN hospital. Everyone here seems to believe me so far :)

Also a painter/sculptor/wanna-be film maker, however my time spent on creative pursuits lately is at an all-time low. Real life responsibilities/work seem to be dang needy these days.

OPPI ~ Just to let you know, (speaking as a SWAT sniper), shooting from a moving platform such as a rotary wing aircraft is not typical, regardless what is seen on TV. It has been done, but it is very, very difficult. As far as shooting tires goes in general... problematic. There is usually a better option.

Pantera ~ Some departments pay pretty well these days. Sounds like you would need to relocate to find the wage you would need. We need solid folks to get interested in law enforcement. Nationally, it is a career field which is becoming very difficult to fill. These guys have given you excellent advice. Try it out and see if the shoe fits. It takes a certain personality to do this job safely & with sound tactics ALL the time. Our mistakes get us killed, and can put others in harms way aswell.

I believe movies and America's popular image of the overweight donut eating cop has done the profession a huge disservice. The show COPS shows the sensational, and unfortunately often poor tactics. On the UP side though, I hope the bad guys go on thinking that is what they are up against, 'cuss I've got a surprise for them!

Well...heres all you need to do. Finish school. Join the Corp. Sign up for Recon or Fast, etc., get a slot for sniper school. Finish your hitch. Go to work for a Police dept., do your time on the street then apply for SWAT. After a few years, go for a sniper slot. 'Bad ass' comes last when it's no longer important. Thats a typical career path for a modern warrior. ;)

Law Enforcement as well on the County level. I was with the Highway Patrol but due to political problems I had to resign. We should get a new Governor in my state in about a year and then I will make my triumphant return to the Highway Patrol.
