Rebound 25

Hey guys, quick question. If I want to make a mold of something that I made a while back and its painted and everything, and I start slapping some Rebound 25 on it, will it rip the paint off when I take the latex mold off? I'm wanting to start casting some of my stuff, but don't want to deal with repainting everything.

Probably not, but maybe...

I always prime stuff before I mold it (helps to see if the finish is good). I almost always have a tiny bit of primer pull up with the mold.

I haven't tried molding anything that is finish painted. The rebound is VERY good at capturing details. You will see brush strokes, paint edges, etc... in the mold / copies.

i dont think so either. but it will pick up every little detail. my experiance is to thave the item in question be as smooth as possible using 2000+ sandpaper.

but if thats what you're going for....rock on!
