Hey there fellow Fett-heads! 8) I've been sanding layers of spray paint off my fiberglass helmet. Now I've got to remove the filler from the dent. (This used to be a custom Mando helmet and now it's gonna be a Boba bucket)

Not sure what the filler is. It's not as hard as bondo. It is softer than the surrounding fiberglass. It's fairly soft and I've gouged some of it out with an exacto blade. I want to remove the filler without damaging the surrounding fiberglass.

What's the best dremel attachment or other method to remove this filler. :confused

Help a fellow Mando out here, please. :confused Thanks in advance for your input. (y)

Try gentle warming up the filler (bondo) with a heat gun,

not too much so as not to distort anything.

some times it make the filler soften up a bit.

or try dipping a cotton ear bud (cuetip) in paint thinners smearing in onto the filler and keep reapplying the thinners until the filler softens up .

taking care not to overdo it, or you'll ruin the gel coat.
