Since I am making a ROTJ Boba, I wanted to have a working rangefinder so, from some haircell ABS, and from WOF's PDF files, I made a hollow rangefinder.
Here it is after gluing every single side of the RF.
My RF compared to the Sgt. Fang solid resin RF.
Here it is after bondoing, sanding and priming it, there are still some minor imperfections but some putty filler should do the job.
I haven't put the holes in yet as I do not have the electronic part with the two red LEDs that are suppose to show through them. Need the actual measurement between the LEDs to make the holes.
I am planning on making the clear lens (bottom piece) from some clear acrylic glued together to get the actual shape then I can make a mold of it and cast it in clear resin.
