Well the molding went really well!. It's pretty much flawless except for 1 small blemish up under the brow. I'll be filling it for those who want a copy so there is virtually no clean up necessary.
The pictures are of the first pull. It's covered in crud from me handling the mold after demolding the master. Its just excess clay, dirt and some primer. I always get a dirty pull from the first copy out of the mold.
I'll have a finished and painted helmet for show this weekend.
This copy was made from high impact casting resin. Not cheap stuff, this is the high end stuff. The copies will most likely be skinned in this stuff and FG inside. This is the way I did all of my MS3's It makes for a clean and strong surface.
