If anyone is sitting on the fence about order one of these, let me add my 2 shillings worth:
If you plan on wearing your Fett costume at all, you can't go wrong with one of these rockets.
Of all the small details on your costume, this piece gets the most attention AND the most abuse in the form of rubbed-off paint and broken-off tips. The level of wear-and-tear on the wrist rocket is second only to the boots and just ahead of the jet pack rocket and nozzles (watch those door-frames!).
If you are going to spend more money on some things, and go economy on others, start with the wrist rocket.
I was the same way when I got mine! However, once you get over that fear, a good weathering job really brings out the personality of the aluminum and brass. The look of the weathered metal can't be beat and it's had to screw up!
