Rangefinder stalk "taper" measurements?

First,I'll just want confirmation that the ESB does indeed have a taper????

Second, if indeed ESB does have a taper, is there a difinitive measurement of the thickest part (when viewing from the side) at the base near the hinged earcap to the thinnest part up by the rangefinder itself??

I've got some final "tweaks" to do to my MSH/ESB and want this final part taken care of once and for all.

I don't know the exact measurement of the taper, but I can at least confirm that the ESB and any other ILM Fett helmet has the taper.
