You'll get the sidearm back on Saturday, chick
Why don'y you briefly go over the story of your Boba & how long it's taken you?
Many peeps might find it encouraging and it might help some to not give up.
LOL at Nate... yeah Little Fett no spats on ESB!!!
So the story.... *** wow well.
Well, I was starting on Fett long before I was even a member here. Always wanted to.
Before I even met Nate,John,Lewis and Dani.
I had some pretty ****** armor, helmet & jetpack I picked up on Ebay and ditched back onto Ebay. Just aweful, Yuck!! :facepalm Makes me wretch thinking about it now. I think the only thing out of that purchase were some very old first version ROTJ MOW's. Which were HUGE!!
I know I said ROTJ, soo...... I think I joined here around 04-05, which makes you become a bit more aware
Anyhow with that **** bye bye ( I guess that would have been version 1)
I think at this point I was making Girth belts here & just starting my silent foray into Boba Soft parts not really knowing all the details as yet. One of my first Fett items was a first gen, Sci Fire Hyperfirm, which I still have.( I think it was John's personal?)
Having helped put how many Fett's together at this point, sewing and assembling, and still not one of my own.
I remember the Saturday doing yours Nate at the shop and Dani's at my house vividly....good memories!
My first purchase was my MLC1 which is the jetpack I use to this day(Fettfullofdollars I think Painted) and the MLC sidearm/holster(remember those?)now we have the beautiful Fettpride and Mojofett! Then Daz's armor(which at the time Shunned had painted for me)
The second version which was very near completion minus the gauntlets (it was always the gauntlets that was holding me up) I know there are pics somewhere with it all spread out on my livingroom floor,I was soooo close and I never wore it. I didn't have soft parts either. I remember Kid Akira asking me when I was going to finally get this finished.
This was about the time I did my Mando Tattoo I think, helps me w/ my time line.
I ended up selling it to Disney in Florida, so if you see the ESB Fett there, thats my gear minus the Jetpack & ammo belt(beautiful leather Pavespawn belt I bought a long time ago!!! One of the best!!!)Those were the only things they didn't take. At this point I was full swing into sewing all the soft parts for people and everything else inbetween (you name it) but never really had my jumpsuit sewn, I never had the time.
Now back to square one...*sigh* at this point I was pretty deflated and didn't think I'd ever have a wearble Fett.
Finances at a strain I yet again purchased armor from Daz... so this makes two full sets(minus gaunts *cough*
chris)
Sent it off to Nate to paint. Slowly putting it back together. Then our life got flipped upside down, I burned out on sewing, shut down my website of 10 years work and it all went into a bin for about a year, including my Fett.
After all the personal nonsense my family dealt with last year, at Christmas time I pushed to finish Fett I had enough and needed something uplifting and to get my 501st # finally!! After all these years which to this day makes me laugh, when I go to a event and meet someone new and I'm a new face.
Its like "oh your new to the 501st" yeah if you only knew!
Almost 8 years later and there it is boys and girls.
Thats about the rough and tumble of it all, I'm sure something is missing but.... time has passed and my memory fails me.
