Thanks for the PM.
For the record i will write this statement once regarding the RPF and TDH's Involvements in attending events.
I have been entrusted by the owner of the RPF and TDH to take their Global reputation and name and promote it to the best of my ability around the UK and also into Europe.
While attending events the RPF and TDH are allowed to both display its brand and promote the Forums to the general public, and in certain circumstances those attending the events under the RPF and TDH banner are also allowed to promote and sell their own products.
The Events we attend are the High end of the Convention circuit in the UK and i am constantly networking and negotiating with Big Event companies in the UK, Ireland and Europe to take what we do on the road.
Now ask anyone who goes to an event in a buisness capacity what they are charged for the space they are given to display, sell or advertise at Conventions, the prices are astronomical.
I have managed to negotiate with these people and sell the idea of a Convention Prop Party to the point where we are given all the above for free .........
I am not interested in little prop Parties out the back of some little Boy Scout Club House, my plan is to help the RPF and TDH become a house hold name within the UK Convention circuit a regular feature, therefore i am not about to jepordise that by giving out free tickets to free loaders, infact the tickets i give out have to be accounted for as they are given to me by the event organisor.
Mistakes and Problems were abundant at the last prop party, namely free loaders........ the new rules are If you Display you get in to the event for free, and you monitor your own section, it is not an opportunity to set up your display and then disappear for the day on a jolly around the event, if this is found to be the case you get told to pack up and go home. Myself, the other members present, the RPF and TDH are not responsible for the Props on the display ....the prop maker is. The event as a whole is an added bonus and time is allocated to members to enjoy the Event.
The Rule of thumb for all those attending the UK RPF/TDH events is you let us know what your displaying and those displaying get free access to the event, if you want to come along as an RPF or TDH member to the event as a non displayer ...... you queue and pay the £5 entry fee like everyone else.
