in short yes, I can't off the top of my head remember who it was or where I found it, pretty sure it was over on the mercs but it turned into an amazing piece
depends... what style barrel are you wanting? PVC pipes are usually a good, cheap barrel for most anything... but it really depends on the style of barrel you want.
I made my son a revolving sniper rifle out of one after he decided he wanted a Borderlands style sniper for his custom Mando kit.
Not the best pic, but I can't find the other ones I have of it at the moment. It's made from a Maverick, a cheapo squirt gun, some PVC, some sintra, and a bunch of epoxy and glues.
For the barrel, I think it uses 1 inch PVC. It fit perfectly over the original "barrel" and even allows it to still fire (somewhat...darts sometimes hit the sides and don't make it all the way out).
Definitely post the pics. Always nice to see how people mod NERF things to look "not-so-NERF". Nothing bugs me more than an un-modified repaint of a stock NERF (or airsoft or whatever...mod it up ).
okay, the gun will be made of 2 nerf guns ,some foamex, pvc, pipe, pieces salvaged from a broken wagner paint sprayer, a polycarbonate cutting board, and a piece of 1inch thick oak plank.. oh, and a lot of epoxy
hey one thing I'd suggest... if you're going to keep that long barrel cover it with something. Put some ventribs or something on it to make it look beefier, it just looks so scrawny with the bulk of the rest of the piece. Great work tho... still looks like a maverick but enough difference to say it would probably pass.
