My charming girlfriend got tickets for the midnight showing of transformers 2 for me
we got there maybe an hour or so early, and found some seats at the top that we were both happy with.
maybe 30 minutes left to the showing and it starts getting relatively crowded
we are at the end of an aisle at the top with 3 seats to our right
eventually a group of four comes in and attempts to get to the top
...now...to make it clear 2 times already ushers had come into the theater stating the show was sold out and to not leave gaps between people
...continuing on. the group of 4 goes to the top by us and asks the next group (of two) if the seat to their right was vacant, to which one of the ladies in that group replied "yes"
thinking that it was a go the group prepared to take some seats at the top...
when asked if the ladies would kindly shift down one seat (and it was definitely in a polite manner)...one lady replied yes and the other claimed "i'm not moving at all"
she continued to make a scene and start a verbal argument (very aggressive i might add) with one of the girls in the group of four.
this went on for like 5 minutes before one of the guys in the group went to find a manager... he came back and the manager asked if the ladies would please move down...the one still refused and the manager stated she couldn't "force" anyone to move if they didn't want to
so the group ended up splitting...the two guys stayed at the top and the two girls found seats elsewhere....
then the one lady bragged to her friend about how she "won" the whole ordeal... then one of the guys sitting at the top was just like "i'm sitting right here...it's over can you please just drop it"
then the lady continued to gloat and just be a complete you know what...
maybe 10 minutes before the show starts now... an usher comes up with a couple following her...
she goes to the top and asks the two ladies if the seat next to them is taken and if they'd be willing to move down....
now here's where it gets nuts
they both move down.... and at this point the whole theater witnessed the previous drama and everyone overheard...
various people around the theater are chuckling at the fact that these people now are willing to move down without any fight.
the two guys speak up that they had two more in their party that should have been able to get the seats next to them instead had the ladies originally moved down.
the usher asks where the other two are and is willing to seat the couple she brought up in place of them so the group of 4 can be together.
the two troublesome ladies now move back and say "no, we're not moving for them if that's how it's going to be"
now everyone else in the theater witnesses this and is just in disbelief with plenty of both tasteful humorous and outright offensive comments.
in the end the ladies still wouldn't move.
pretty ridiculous eh? :confused
i think the theater should be able to eject people like this.... i seriously wanted to throw these people out of the theater myself....
trust me...i'm huge...no one would be able to stop me
and i know anyone would have helped
We need to stop cutting each others throats
