Greetings all,
I've been reading through these boards for several weeks. Like everyone else who has stumbled onto this group, I am remarkably impressed with the information that is available, as well as the finished products.
I was born and currently live in the U.S., specifically Oklahoma. Yes, I have seen tornadoes. Yes, there are cows a mile from my house, but I'm still a city-dude; skyscrapers are a 10 minute drive away.
I'm lucky, because Oklahoma's weather is pretty varied from day to day, and I get to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities as a result. And Tulsa is a big enough city that we have plenty of movie theaters.
But there is very little to do after midnight, even less after 2 a.m. As I'm getting older, I'm not enjoying drinking as much as I used to (at least not as often, it's still fun once a week or so), and video games can only fill up so much late time.
Enter scratch-building. Hopefully my projects will turn out half as decent as the projects I've seen displayed on this site.
On behalf of everyone new to this, let me thank you guys for making this info available!
