cool. What size battery and what voltage are each of the leds? thanks
The battery box is a four AA box. The blinking red is a 5mm, 3.0 volt, 35mA (880 mcd) LED. The steady green, yellow, and red are 3.0 volt, 20 mA LEDs (these come in a pack of 20 for about $3.00, it's a great deal).
All the parts can be found at Radio Shack; here are the item numbers:
Blinking Red LED - #276-312
Steady Red, Green, Yellow LEDs - #276-1622
LED Holders - #276-079
Battery Holder - #270-391
On/Off Switch - #275-617
(Also buy some small guage wire, comes in a 3 spool pack; red, black, and green coated)
Be careful not to hook up the steady LEDs without a daisy chain, if you do, they will burn out immediately. The four AA batteries are too powerful for just one LED. I learned that the hard way, several times, I probably blasted through half a dozen LEDs before getting this right!
