CombatBaby
Well-Known Hunter
After over a year of searching, researching, and scrounging the internet, dealer lots, and zines I finally have my new 2008 Honda Fit.
I, of course, had desired the rarest trim line/color/transmission.
A Blackberry Pearl 5 speed manual Sport Edition.
The setup has an average lot life of 2 days. This made this a pain to track down. I saw one on a lot in Waukesha in December, however it was Sunday. I stopped in Tuesday after work, the car was sold on Monday.
I hadn't seen one again until January 25th, on a Friday. I went inside and asked someone when they got it in. It was four days old off the truck, but Friday was the first day it made it to the lot. I wanted to get an offer from the other dealers I visited before I committed to buying the car.
When I stopped back Monday to talk to someone, the car had been sold earlier that day. I was hours too late. My future salesman, actually found the keys and was going to pull it around before discovering that it had been sold.
Long story short, I finally broke down and reserved the first one coming in after agreeing on a generously discounted price (why pay sticker?).
HOWEVER, the original one I had looked at (the one that had been "sold") was never picked up, so weeks later on Saturday the 9th I get a call from Honda saying I had first dibs since I had put my name on the first one coming in. I went over the offer again and got myself a pretty nice deal. It had 7 miles on it. Apparently, from being gassed up and moved around the lot so many times, as the dealer tripped to get rid of all this disgusting SNOW!
I took delivery today and now she's warming up in the garage.
I think I'm naming her "Valentine"
:cheers Now here's some terrible pictures!
