BobaFettish's Accurate Vest Material

No problem. This is the fourth year in a row that it has been offered. Rogue Studios and I did the first run of it, and I have done it the past three.

As a reminder to those sitting on the fence, I only do one run of this per year as it is only produced twice a year and I have to place a pretty stiff minimum order to get it.

My batninja vest, unweathered.

Both pics were taken in the same room only a few feet apart, yet look at the lighting difference.

BTW, Bobafettish, what kind of armor is that? Please don't tell me FP.

OK, I won't tell you then, but I'll tell everyone else. ;) The chest is FP, but the collar and shoulders are Durasteel.

Is this stuff still for sale or is it closed now...? If it's still for sale I'd be interested in getting some!

Yeah, its a bit too shiny without weathering, but after some misting of greys & blacks with an airbrush, then hitting it with dull coat, it turned out perfectly. Although I do beleive that the ESB vest is slightly more grey than the ROTJ vest, I'm convinced this stuff is the correct fabric to use....just gotta weather it plenty. Below are before & after pics. In the first pic, my vest is only very lightly weathered, in the second pic, it is weathered heavily with an airbrush as I described. My neckseal is the same fabric with very little weathering, so you can see the difference that the weathering makes...takes the shine right out of it. Hope that helps guys;) BTW: thanx everybody who gave me weathering advice on this;)

looks too shiny

As already mentioned, it is shiney. But, just like all parts of Boba's suit, it needs to be weathered to give it that worn, aged look. I dulled mine up with misting taupe (dark tan), gray and black spray paint. The real clincher is to then hit it will Dull Cote which knocks a lot of the 'shine' out of it.

Yes, it is still available. All the details, including the cut-off date to submit payment, is in my first post.
