I wasn't born till a year before ROTJ was released so playing with my older brothers star wars toys is what got me interested (man what an understatement ) in star wars intially.
I can remember playing with figures of Fett and the gang long before seeing ESB for the first time and I still have a few of them today. Amongst them luckily is my Slave 1 ship, Boba and Han in carbonite. I love these not only because they belong to my favourite film and characters but knowing they are amongst the first toys I ever played with.
You're lucky you still have your own original toys. My brothers and I went through 3 X-wings and two Millennium falcons before my mom told us that she won't buy us anymore SW toys. The only physical evidence that I once had SW toys is an Admiral Ackbar that can't stand up on his own, a Chewie that has a melted face (that's another story :rolleyes ) and an R2-D2 leg.
i've replaced a lot of my old toys that my mom threw away on me. my wife got me one of the vintage 12" bobas for my birthday, and i found an old slave-1 in GREAT condition not too long ago.

My friend the "Sniffer " agrees with you.
However, thanks to Braks explanation, his heart was in the right place.
There is nothing like the pure innosense of a childs drawing.
