Damage colors on jetpack rocket

Ok, this may be a dumb question but one I have always had. Are the scratches on the lower part of the rocket white or silver? It kinda looks like it is the white paint underneath the soot.

Well All the parts were white at one point in their life...Being they were Super Trooper parts...and then when PP1 came to be that part was still white...

So yes white is correct.

Look really closely in the reference images and you will see silver damage within the white damage in certain areas...
