Hi all,
I finally received my Sideshow "McQuarrie" prototype Fett statue today! My wife had ordered it for me for Christmas last year.
Totally worth the wait! It's a really great piece, and it seems to be in 1/5 scale, which is weird. It's definitely larger than 1/6, but
not as large as the 1/4 scale Hot Toys Fett.
The sculpt is pretty dynamic, with Fett posed on top of some kind of ruined. . . something or other.
The paint app is nicely done as well, with Ralph McQuarrie's muted monochromatic color scheme. I love the
little touches of "McQ blue," a term I have just coined.
I'm very pleased with the statue. Since it's taken from concept art, we can't have the kind of accuracy debates that we've had
with other Sideshow pieces, and it makes a nice addition to my Fett collection. Here are a couple of final detail shots.
Thanks for looking, and hopefully some of you are getting to enjoy this piece as well.
