Satin coat on helmet?

I was wondering if anyone has used a light satin coat on their helmet. I never have on my previous helmets but thought I read once that some people do it. Is this a big no no? Just thinking something with just a very slight sheen might look ok.

I used a matte paint on mine, sorta like a satin but maybe a little less shiny. If I could find a flat I would go with that instead.

Don't use satin! I wouldn't recommend sealing it at all. If you want a slight sheen to it, just rub it with a cotton t-shirt

I use Testors dull coat on my paint jobs primarily to seal the pastel powders I use during weathering. But after its dry I rub the helmet down lightly with one of those green Scotchbrite pads. That brings it up just a touch from dead flat.
