Boushh A new Boushh stuff

Felice

New Hunter
Hi my friends,

now it's time to represent you my WIP (not already finished) of this wonderful weapon. I did my researches since 4 years to find accurate parts to build the boushh stuff.
Most WIPs in the web used parts which i can't buy here in Germany. The second issue of the long research time were the references out of the movie or out of the fed WIPs.
It's very difficult to see which parts were used for the original stuff.

BUT: now we live in the 21h century and the 3-D printing is the new industrial revolution (believe me).
One of the pioneers of 3-D printing star wars parts is Mr. tool guy, here in our wonderful web place. He designed the most accurate kit for the Boushh stuff and i think i was one of the
first buyers here in Europe. And that's why i start this WIP.

A big brown box arrived (no armor inside LOL)

Now the stuff question...out of plastic or out of metal. I decided to use aluminium for the better strength

Now the first coat. I decided to use silver metal. First to make some "special" effects and second: this kind of color is thicker than normal spray can color

The bottom section is very accurate but out of plastic. This part crack immediately so i decided to replace it with a door rubber stopper with some modding

4C131E3F-8E93-4839-BF2D-04F5F786CCAB_zpstoxyjw6o.jpg

to place the stopper into the aluminium stuff i put some fiber glass bondo into the bottom of the stuff

84158226-47AA-41FE-A1FF-EEB5632E9153_zpspotiu86b.jpg

After checking the references again and again i think that the stuff isn't all black. It seems to be (for me) that there is a little bit silver or something like that.
And look to Boushh... a used and very strong weathered armor. So i decided to add some mixture of that colors

And the final result looks better than on the pictures

Oh, sorry for my late replay!
I have to check it but the measurements depends on who carrys the stuff;-) my wife is 158cm

Great tutorial! I think I'll go for this kit too! Question, which diameter tube did you use? Also, is the bottom part of the staff (with the electronics) secured in some way to the tube or is it loose and just slides off? Thanks for this!

Also, is the bottom part of the staff (with the electronics) secured in some way to the tube or is it loose and just slides off?

The lower section has 5 rings that the tube will slide into & 4 of these rings has a provision for a screw. This will secure the tube to the lower section. The holes have a countersink so that a flat head screw can be used. Hope this helps.
