Boushh Marrski's Boushh Build

Tristancraig

New Hunter
Hi all,
So I'm using my husbands account because I can't seem to post new threads on mine. I started an account over on BHG but there doesn't seem to be much activity and I'd love to hear feedback as we get going. So with that said, we started my Boushh build about a week and a half ago, we filled the minor imperfections in the helmet with bondo and cut out the visor holes. My hubby built the electro staff and put together the shoulder armor which was then covered in bondo. We'll be doing a few more coats of bondo and then sanding like crazy to get the shape right.

Looking great so far! My first piece of feedback: upload larger photos ;)

I've so badly wanted to do a boushh for my wife, but I just don't have the time right now with the newborn. Luck you!!! Keep up the great work.

I will definitely do that from now on :)
You'll get to it when the time is right. Congrats on the new addition!

Doesn't bondo cure rock-solid? I am not sure if it's the best way to go for the armor as you want this to be at least slightly flexible. I'd try Worbla to cover the basic shape and paint with acrylics. This also safes precious time since you don't have to sand it that much ;)

Looking forward to more progress pics!

I was worried about that as well, but we made the base layer out of komatex which actually gives it a bit of flex. Luckily the hubby has taken control of the shoulder armor so he can sand away ;)

So just a small update - my tank and bandolier kits came last week as well as some of my fabric for the outer tunic/boot covers. The tanks are almost done, and I finished my tunic last night. I've put a hold on the helmet after gluing some of the greeblies to sew, so hopefully I'll be getting back to that in the next few days. We also have to put a bunch more work into the shoulder armor, but you can see the gist of it :)tanks.jpgtunic.jpg

Ok, update on the shoulder armor. Any feedback would be much appreciated so we can decide if we need to modify the shape or move on to paint. The tanks aren't done yet but placed on there for a test run ☺️image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posts throughout this process. Things got crazy over here as we were trying to get everything done for the 501st submission deadline. Good news though, we made it! You're lookin at BH91587. Please ask me questions and I'll be happy to help anyone currently working on a build!
