This looks fantastic! I took my cousin to her first troop a couple weeks ago as a wrangler, and now she wants a costume. She only wants armor though. No princesses for her. I thought Bo might be a good fit, but I didn't know anyone was doing it. Glad to see it's happening, and in my own backyard too!

I decided to widen the key slot area by a little over a 1/4" on the helmet. It is now complete and ready for a finishing coat of professional auto primer. Also, here are some comparison pics of my blaster with the toy version. I'd say the toy versions are ideal for a child or small female....

CRUZER, this work is absolutely PHENOMENAL; like all of your other projects!!! I cannot wait until you and SEEKER get everything together to start offering the Armor and Leather parts up to us LESS-SKILLED members. Great job!

    Thanks.
We don't do seam lines on helmets at this shop
Poured on the second coat of silicone this morning, and will make the smaller part molds tonight. Should have all of the molds finished by tomorrow.

Ditto, but something tells me you'll paint one before me!

Ok, here is the first pull. The mold for the rangefinder topper is still in progress. The rangefinder ear cap is CC, as well as the rangefinder stalk that has a steel armature for strength...

Yea, pretty much did. The only blemishes on the back are where my son missed a few spots when spreading the gelcoat. Pretty much no clean-up needed.

Re: A little side project for a friend

Just an F.Y.I....I've gotten a few inquiries from people wanting helmets asap. So now that the last of the helmet molds are completed, I'm going to go ahead and open up a small run of 5 helmets in another thread. Once I pull the first rangefinder topper this evening, I'll snap a few pics and start the run thread later tonight. It's going to be limited to 5 helmets only and will be on a first come/first paid basis. Right now I'm estimating gelcoated fiberglass helmets with CC rangefinder stalks to be $225 shipped within the U.S., or $250 for international express shipping with tracking services. Look for the run thread with more specifics later this evening if you're interested.

    Thanks,
    Lorenzo
