Put me down for one. Are you going to do that armor too? Please do!!!!!
Guantlets everthing!!! the works!!!
yes and yes!!!
And yes please dont put it down. Also when your finish with the helmet, start on the armor and please dont put it down.
Lol, you're crazy man! You're the armor maker...and I'm just the helmet guy. ;)
Thats pretty sick!!!!
Could the two of you just get a shop together and open a business!!! We all need your skills....to make up for our lacking. This looks VERY PROMISING!!
Nice work. It is looking very good so far. Keep up the good work.
Come on! your the man dude! you made that badasse backplate and those badazzes guantlets. Do it bro!
We should all do an international common project, each one does one part/piece and then everyone gets one of each :D
Keep the good work Cruzer!
I was about to call out Cruzer on those as well Seeker ;).
I still don't know what it's supposed to be :?
Yeah man. those boy kicks butt! I dont know what he's talking about me. I havent made armor in ages. You gotta do it Cruzer! theres going to be others wanting your stuff. And here, I created a picture gallery for you. :D

Unfortunately I only have enough time right now for making the helmet. Plus I would still like to finish my Deathwatch armor sculpts and would like to try my hand at the v2 Viszla helmet. :)
The helmet is looking good..........I can't wait to see some one tackle the the new Visla helmet too.
Did you base this one off of your smaller sized helmet cast?
This helmet is a modified deathwatch helmet, so it's going to be a tad smaller than that helmet after all of the modifications. As it is right now, the Female helmet will have an inside circumference of 26" at the base of the dome.
This is the most accurate Bo-Katan helmets so far! Excellent job!
Very nice work Cruzer, you da man :thumbsup
Thanks guys for the encouraging words. Here are a few more pics. The rangefinder ear is temporarily attached until I can finalize the rangefinder attachment and construction. I also still need to fill in the little rectangles on the keys so they are straight slots. Let me know if you have any recommendations for improving the accuracy.

This is BOMB cruzer!
Wow . That is amazing ! The angles look perfect !
Thanks guys. I decided to narrow the elevated areas behind the ears by a 1/4" because they just seemed too wide, and I finished up the key slots in the back. Now I just need to figure out how the rangefinder ear cap is going to attach and stay in place. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.:thumbsup

Are your plans for the RF to have it static or movable?
Definitely movable. I wouldn't want to "short change" LFL's first female helmet. ;)
I finished the rangefinder ear cap last night and am moving on to the actual rangefinder this weekend. :)
I saw a picture of this about a week ago...I said the same thing...I want one!
Yeah I know who its for as we were discussing the soft parts. ;)
Looks fantastic Cruzer!!!
Jeff had shared with me that you were going to be working on the soft parts for this costume, and I'm glad to hear it!:thumbsup
I decided to extend the bottom of the helmet in the back to make it more accurate. I also permanently attached the rangefinder ear and began filling in around it. I'll try to get some progress pics up today after work.
Please let me know if anyone sees anything that needs adjusting.:)
Thanks. - Cruzer
Awesome helmet, can't wait to see the finished product!
Ok, here is where the helmet is as of right now. I don't plan on making any major changes unless someone has a suggestion. I did narrow the visor area along the top line by 1/8", as well as increase the width of the widow's peak to bring it lower. However, I'm not happy with the visor area, so please let me know if anyone sees anything I should change.

The lines on this thing are unbeLIEVABLE!! Great job! Unfortunately I don't know enought about this character to make ANY suggestions. But, I do know it looks GREAT!!
Sorry for the lack of updates, guys. Had to step away from this project to finish "way overdue" Jango orders. The movable rangefinder stalk is completed. Now I have moved on to the rangefinder and hope to have it finished soon. I'll try to post pics tonight of the stalk and rangefinder progress.
My intentions are to cast the rangefinder stalks separately in aluminum cold cast with metal armatures to alleviate breaking, and then cast the rangefinder in white resin with the stalks embedded in them for permanent attachment. Once i have the rangefinder completed, I'll probably have to do a small preorder run at a discounted price to drum up funds for the four separate molds that will need to be made to put this helmet into production. I'll try to get some pics of the rangefinder and stalk up tonight.
Take it easy, :)
Thanks Cruzer. Cant wait to see it completed.
Looks really good. I hope someone will be able to produce body armor to go with it :D
I mite even pick up one of these cruzer keep it up buddy

Sorry guys i failed to make the time to take pics. Over the past few days I've now logged about 5 hours on just the rangefinder alone because this thing has so many angles and sides. To make it I'm using a combination of styrene sheets in various thickness' of 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32"...and filling in with bondo when possible. It's 85% complete, and today after work I just need to finish up the curved detailing by the RF stalk, to be done. I promise to have pics up tonight. :thumbsup
Here is a final pic with the movable rangefinder stalk. Let me know if the rf looks too high.
The RF stalk height looks good. Looks about the same as a Boba or Jango stalk.
Nice detail in the RF :thumbsup
Looks amazing! Like it wouldn't... =P
I already got my helmet for Bo-Katan, but this one also really looks great! Indeed amazing!! :D
And it's gonna be even better soon ;D
Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it.
What SEEKER is hinting at is that he and I have already begun collaborating on bringing you guys all of the parts necessary to make Bo-Katan's entire suit. He is diligently beginning work on all of the leather items and soft parts. Likewise, I have already begun construction of the body armor, which I hope to have the majority of the upper body armor completed and ready to show off after this weekend! ;)
:suprise LIKE!!!!! Count me in as interested! I'm really looking foreward on both your work! But so far I've seen, it's gonna be great! :D
Awesome! A suit for my wife!!
All the armor!? I'll bring Ainsley by so you can get her measurements..lol
I'm gonna be so broke! I already lightened my hair so that when I have it for CVI, I can take off my helmet and have the red hair like hers. :D You guys are awesome!! I can't wait!!
So thats who you are here ;)
Well the silicone didn't arrive before the weekend to begin the mold. This turned out to be a good thing because I'm using this time to reshape the dome to be more accurate after studying ref pics more.
As for the rest of the armor, I have the basic shapes made for the upper body pieces and will post pics once they're a little more dialed in.
Thanks for the interest :)
Cruzer, will those armor pieces your developing be scalable or one standard size?
I figured since Bridget needs a new costume I could make her's Bo and Ainsley one of the grunts..
I'll be padding the waist of the mannequin to make it a more realistic 29"-30". Initially I had no desire in making the jet pack. However, my sister has since decided to make the costume. So I've already begun construction on a Bo jet pack that will measure approximately 13.5" wide when scaled to my helmet. Everything I make will have to be made of fiberglass, unless I can get my hands on a vacform machine. Hope that helps. :)
Cruzer. I will have all measurement for you tomorrow. Finally was able to get my model.
Here's how Bo-Katan should look like in a real person.
Wow. Great mock up! :)
BTW: Cruzer, are you making the guns also? Or are you using a set of guys to size the holsters/thighs? I just don't want to get a set of guns and have them not fit, lol.
I was thinking if you went bigger then than that, it would start looking like leg armor. Very sloppy looking. I will let Cruzer decide.
The Deathwatch toy blasters are tiny. The grip is about as long as the first 3 fingers on my hand. Woodchuck makes a nice pistol, I've made some, and Eternal Armory over on the BHG board does 'em too. I don't know that we've ever all compared sizes, but from eyeballing it they look generally the same size.
Also: This thread is awesome. I love how much attention Bo and the Owls are getting!!
I had made a Deathwatch blaster back when they first appeared. However, I realized I had missed the taper of the gun's body after more ref pics were released. So I plan to go back and rework my blaster to be more accurate. Right now a Feather Lite cast weighs 9.7oz, so I'm hoping it will be between 7-8oz after the gun is slimmed down. I'd be more than happy to purchase a toy blaster to do a size/weight comparison with my blaster. :)
My guns are also cast in featherlite, so they probably weigh about the same as Cruzer's.
Do you have this image?
Yea, I've seen that pic, Thanks. The bottom of that jet pack seems to be designed slightly differently than Bo's that is partially seen in the screen captures. :/
That second pic is at a much better angle than the one I have. That will help immensely. Thank you much! :)
So is there any update on when the helmets will be available? I'm itching to start!
Lol. Hopefully I'll be able to start the helmet mold this weekend. However I already have four paid pre-orders that have priority over any orders placed once production hopefully starts sometime next week. :)
Wow! You guys are amazing, this is great to see come together.
Dang dude you're just crankin' this out! Great job :)
Looking aweseome Cruzer! What do you estimate the weight will be?
Thanks, the time I've logged on this jet pack is rediculous. Won't know about the weight until I can make a few casts. But I'm thinking about the possibility of two versions: a foam filled budget jet pack and a hollow fiberglass version.
Right now I'm pushing the completion of the jet pack to be able to make the molds for both the helmet and jet pack this weekend, so that I can begin making the first casts during my week long Easter vacation next week. :thumbsup
GO CRUZER, GO CRUZER!!!:D
Fantastic job Cruzer!
You know what ......you are cool.
Lol. Thanks but trust me, I'm a big dork. Just ask my teenage son!...or the ex for that matter. ;)
Your not...a dork. Its really coming along quick! Keep it up..I wanna see this!!! WHEEEE!
Small update...the jet pack body is pretty much done except for one small detailing on the bottom that I'll add tomorrow before I give it a coat of professional automotive primer. Now, I can move on to the cones and thrusters.:thumbsup

Great work bruv... keep up the good work! :cheering
Finally got some of the attachments done. I just need to make two small adjustments that I missed with the strip running down the center. Then, I'll give it a second coat of professional automotive primer, and it should be ready for silicone.
As for putting the helmet and jetpack into production, I've decided I'm going to do a small run of 3-4 each to help the few people out there that are moving along with this costume. After that I'll stop production to move on to the gauntlets, followed by the backplate and then the rest of the armor. Thanks for the feedback and support everyone! :thumbsup
