I would recommend a Dremel tool with a flex shaft. I'm not sure if they sell dremel tools where you are, but something similar would work.

Hi and welcome. Being a "local" amd all I'll still keep this in english, just for the audience.
You might find dremels at Claes Ohlsson, they have plenty of gadgets. Also Biltema and Jula might be good places to look.
    Good luck on your build

look around for the Palladium "pallabrouse" in Vapor/metal color. It has grey canvas and the sole is in a metaloptik... i think it fits more for Bo-Katan.

I doubt that with wit the first in europe btw so lets see how fast you are XD

you mean these? yes i know she have metal on her boots and thought that i could glue on the boot kit and color it metal, but her sole should be black i think it is more easy to color the black canvas in a grey tint and keep the sole black, as you see on this pic of bo katan her sole is black
I have not yet seen any Bo Katan in the 501st list but i could be wrong

whoah, with all that blond hair you may suggest a Santine as second costume? (they have the same face anyway. )

for the boots: Hm i thought tinting white to grey would be easier. Some Rub'n'Buff for the Tip of the sole would might work also.

For the europe thing: Well, not everyone keeps updates for the 501th for example

I must say that it's great that you're making something other than the "main characters". We need more diversity in sweden for our sci-fi fairs

Was actually in Malmö durinh this fair. But stockholm is the city for me
Must say though, having been in malmö, stockholm and gothenburg sci-fi fairs, malmö wins by far when it comes to over-all cosplay. Was really sweet to see a deadpool and mad hatter etc.

Yeah that works. But it will fade or dissappear when you wash it.

    Re: Greetings from Sweden!

If you want acrylic to stay on fabric, damp the fabric in water, then spray the area that you would like to have weather with with a spray bottle.

The bottle should be mixed with water and acrylic.

By having a damp fabric, it opens the weaves and allows the acrylic do soak in.

Hi, i have Little issues of my bodysuit, i want to make it charcoal gray with grey shades, i bought color for clothing yesterday and painted the bodysuit but when it dried it crack in the color , i didnt use the hot iron so i could wash it away. Now i wonder if i should buy an airbrush can anyone recommend one, i have seen many pics on bo katans bodysuits wich have been dyed with an airbrush and i also wonder how they do it, can i adjust the ammount of color that comes out of the airbrush?

    Re: Greetings from Sweden!

Yeah, you can adjust the amount of colour that comes out of the airbrush if it is a "dual action" airbrush. But buying a setup like that can be quite expensive. For small jobs like this you might be better off with a cheap single action brush that runs off compressed air in cans instead of using a compressor. You have less control, but it should still be enough and for a lot less money.

    Re: Greetings from Sweden!

hm i read a little more about this textile spray and it says that it is only made to make light textiles to darker. So i wont buy this, i have btw looked more into the airbrush and i have decided to buy one instead im going to buy an iwata airbrush. My first priority now is to modify my helmet with some other colors that should fit with my armor and im going to change the sigil a Little to make it more accurate, im going to attatch the rangefinder also and buy an aluminium stalk. Later im going to install a device so it can move up and down with a push on a button in the gauntlet later today im also going to Place an order on the boots and t-shirt vest and some other things for the gauntlets

    Re: Greetings from Sweden!

start by cutting out the armour, dremeling then use a fine grit sandpaper to smooth edges. Join the knee pieces, the thigh holsters and the gauntlets. Judging by pics, you look as small as I am... I have trouble with fitting my gauntlets properly and I have to pad them out like crazy. I've also added padding to my holsters so my precious Woodchuck blasters don't get damaged.

Then add 2 coats of clear plastic primer (I used a brand called Plastikote - not sure where this is available throughout the world though) make sure you don't make my mistake, spray it all in a ventilated area

Then add 2 coats of paint. I added a darker colour - just 1 coat, then on top i added a lighter colour. When it comes to weathering, you'll sand it back and have some nice layered colours. I'm going to be uploading a video on my weathering technique i used after all our major troops that are coming up are over.

with a low circling-speed the dustcloud is low enough. And HIPS plastic is not that sturdy Material that need a high-speed cuttingblade. XD

Hi! i have been working on my boots and some more on the knee armorings. I have been weathering the boots and removed the brand sigils, the boots still need some more weathering on the sole, but this is a begining. The knee armoring was first to small on me so i had to expand it a little with plastic welding, it now looks awful but i will sanding it so they become smooth smile.gif

here is some pictures on the progress

Here is the photos of the gauntles that i have bonding together! they need to dry for tomorrow. they still need to be smoothed out as the knee armor needs, but now they fits my arm perfectly and need later a sort of hinging
