    Re: Cad Bane bust!!!

Hello!! small update, here's what did: added some clay to the nose and top of the head, smoothed it out, made the scars, added detail to the eyes, and added some detail under the eyes.

It still needs some work, like the holes where the breath tubes go, and the skin on the neck.

Here's the pics, tell me what you think:

Wow. I'm stunned and amazed. At first I thought your brow was just a little off, but after doing a little research, it's spot on. Keep up the fantastic work.

    Re: Cad Bane bust!!!

Hi, well I got most of the progress done yesterday but I got real busy with Christmas stuff. Anyway here's what I did: I added a lot of clay to the neck, smoothed it out a little, added clay to the head, smoothed it out/made the breath mask?(part that is black leather on his head),and did some more detail work.

It still is not done, still need to add the holes and buttons.

Here's pics tell me what you think:

    Re: Cad Bane bust!!!

One question: should I cast it in black resin and then airbrush the face a few shades of blue or cast it in white paint it black then airbrush it blue?

Oh and what's some good airbrush paint for resin and latex/silicone?

That looks outstanding, and those teeth are excellent! I'd love to see you create a mask: it would be great to see as part of a costume.

    THANK YOU!
Ya, like I said earlier if I make money off of these I'll make some masks. I was thinking of making them (masks) out of Ecoflex 00-30 and filling it with Soma-Foama, do you have any tips on how I would do this?

    Ooooh so close!!!!
Well lets just say tho mold didn't come out, the silicone I was using wasn't that good.
I'm going to fix up the bust and order some Rebound 25 tonight.

Oh well, hopefully the next mold will come out.

The 405th has a whole tutorial on moldmaking, and using flex foam. That might be helpful... excellent sculpt!

Flex Foam? I know what it is but are the using it to make a mold for masks or resin busts?
    Please post link.

I already know how to make a mold, it was the silicone that messed me up.
Anyway I just ordered a gallon of Rebound 25 and a pint of Thi-Vex.
Sad part is now I'm broke, oh well I'll hopfully get some money for my B-day.

It's very cool! But the painting can be improved. Try this:

The highlights and shadows will change if you want to put the hat on it

LOL thanks. As for the price it'll be (I'm new to this so tell me if it's to low or to high.. ..just don't rip me off) probably around $300 USD.

Re: Cad Bane bust!!!UPDATE: Finished, off to junkyard

Well, heres the images of the work I did a while ago. Sadly I'm selling it on ebay because I need to money right now. Please help a guy out and bid on him . Or if you have a little more money to spend, I have the molds that I would be willing to sell(great shape, only used once and would pay for themselves in no time).
