i need to go to the hardware store and pick up more screws of various length, i had to stop for the night because i ran out. my plan is for this to be a trooping prop, so there are going to be a few details i omit.

stay tuned for more updates.

I never considered doing this until now. Just discovered this forum today. I'll be watching your progress with great interest! Good luck and have fun!

box is constructed, and han has been cut out. the next step will be sanding the box, then body filler. yay, bondo!

i've got about 11-12 hours in on this project so far.

2x 4'x8' sheets of 1/4" cdx plywood
4x 8' 2x4's
and so far i've used a table saw, chop saw, jig saw, and a drill

i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for attaching han to the board. i was thinking of putting in a few more support crossbeams and using screws as well as some sort of adhesive on the back (and to fill in the edges to the lip of the box)?

I remember seeing a thread of a build where they used wood screws and went over them with bondo. I think they also used wood glue, alot of it, to fill in seams. Looking great so far bro! Im going to be starting mine in a few weeks.

the box has been bondo'ed twice, sanded, glazed/spot puttied, sanded again, and now han has been temporarily mounted on the box. i'm planning on using liquid nails and actual screws for the permanent attachment, then covering the screws with gasket sealant, but that won't be until the box is painted.
