azheat01 built one from scratch and has it on display in his theater room along with some Ikea cases filled with action figures, not to mention his other costumes...look for threads started by him, it's been awhile.
I would say start with plywood duh!
I would be interested in that Mike!
What about the side panels, they are the bit that will be hard to get right IMHO.
Well, see the side panels on the IC han in carbonite are not the same as the ones in the movies.
There are two different panels also, (if i remember right) on the IC han.
Those can be cast also. Best to cast them in brush on resin then foam.
But they arent very 'clean' very uneaven surface detail. Id have to do a lot of cleaning.
On the bright side, they screw off I think.
I built one too:

Very nice. I cannot wait to start our project
I'm going to be doing a short run of side panels if you are interested?
I am definitely interested in some side panels. I am going for the movie accurate look as well. If I see what Im looking for I can send payment immediately. I am excited to get started and would like to aquire my materials before I begin. I appreciate any info that can be provided.
I trust that you guys know that there is a yahoo group dedicated to Han In Carbonite?
If not; http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group...guid=185135247
I did not, I like it here so much, I dont look anywhere else. Thank you, I will check it out.
If you find a way to get a cast of the hands please let me know.
I remember this link was very informative, however the pictures have been removed. What was the reason for removing the photos?
