|brief=The 3-Hole Borden Connector is a small stainless steel or nickel plated brass coupler used in the dental profession for connecting an air-driven handpiece to the air and water supply tubing lines. There are many connectors of similar type, with varying shapes, sizes, and number of holes. The most common incorrect variation has one large hole and two smaller holes which are the same size. The correct Borden connector has one large hole for "drive air" which powers the tool, a small hole for water to wash away debris, and an extremely small hole for "chip air" which cools the tooth being worked on.

|modification=Only the front portion of the Borden Connector is used on the Boba Fett Helmet. To create the correct look, the connector must be cut then the edge and holes on the cut surface must be slightly beveled. Finally, the connector is mounted into a hole in the helmet with off-white colored two-part expoxy.
|info=The borden connector is approximately 9.12mm (0.359") in diameter with three holes measuring (from largest to smallest) 3.45mm (0.136"), 1.31mm (0.052"), and 0.71mm (0.028") in diameter. Measursement of a casting of the borden connector on the Preproduction #2 Boba Fett helmet shows the diameter to be approximately 9.14mm (0.360").Some shots of the connector appears to be silver/nickel, and in others brass.
While the 3-Hole Borden connector pictured is the closest match found to date, it is not an exact match to what is seen on the Boba Fett helmet. Upon close inspection (see comparison photo on the right), the found Borden connector's holes are the opposite of that seen on the Boba Fett helmet. Once the rear of the connector has been cut away, the connector can be inserted with the cut surface facing out, and the holes line up correctly. However, this doesn't account for the beveled edges of the holes which appear to be OEM.
