Woodmans Tusken Project **FINISHED**
I've been working on this as a "steam release" when I need to step away from my fett. here are some pics.
I have a swedish mauser ammo belt for the waist belt and 2, 5 pocket enfield bandoliers. I bought a gaffi end cast from Kingjawa and turned the walnut shaft I'm trying to come up with the aluminum for the other end. I need to put several more coats of stain and the sealer on the handle. I sewd the boot forms using tape templates to get the pattern shapes. Then I took the slip cover and glued it to a pair of slip-on deck shoes . I took the gloves and tailored them to fit my hand cause most of these cheap work gloves are very poorly fitting then attatched some extensions for the wraps. I also sewd the 3 ridges down the back of the hand on the glove to match the Sideshow tusken cause I really liked the look. The head is a rubber underskull from Kingjawa and the metal is from him too.
I used real lambskin for the mouth and an old belt for the leather around it. I need to put some screen behind the eyes and mouth. I wanted the respirator to be as close as I could get it to the archive photos I have so I poured some resin in a plastic jar to get a piece to turn to the shape I wanted. The outer robe is made from upholestry fabric I still need to get the heavy linen for the inner robe and a piece for my neck and the sash. tell me what you think.
Well I had alot of other jobs going on for members but I did manage to finish my Tusken. I went to ALL-CON in Dallas last weekend and to it and my Fett. I had these pics done by some cool guys there called Neither Nior, I think they took some great pics for me.
Sorry the pics arent very big they're 5x7 printed in the middle of a full sheet. I will try to remedy this.

Re: Woodmans Tusken Project
wow that looks insane, and what creativity to make most of this stuff instead of purchasing it
Re: Woodmans Tusken Project
Thanks for the comments. I finally found the fabric for the inner robes but it was burgandy. I was the perfect weave and weight so I bought a samll piece just to see what bleach would do to it and it turned the burgandy fabric completely tan.
took the color right out so tomorrow I will be buying enough for the robes and soaking it in a highly concentrated bleach solution for a few days so I will have them done soon. now to find aluminum for the gaffi end!
Re: Woodmans Tusken Project
Your going to soak it for a few days? Wont that destroy the fabric?
Re: Woodmans Tusken Project **FINISHED**
just had to soak it overnight and it didnt damage the fabric at all. finished pics in first post.
be sure to double click to zoom the pic cause they are so small
