Where can I get the matherial to create a X-Wing pilot helmet visor?

Hello,

I would like to make some yellowish visors like the ones of the rebel pilot helmets. However I don't know where to get the plastic nor how to work with it.

Can you help me pointing me on the right direction?

Probably it easier to get the visor already done, I'd suggest the rebel legion forum as a starting point, there is a few guys in there that offer helmet parts/kits:

Maybe you could make a template on some thick, clear plastic. Then cut out the shape with an electric saw or something, and slightly heat the plastic so that you can bend it.
Then you could tint it.

I don't know if this would work, but it does seem like a good idea, and i'm 14.
