Unknown Stormtrooper Helmet?

Hey guys. I'm finally able to post new threads, and I have a burning question that regards a stormtrooper helmet I acquired free of charge. I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, so if it's not please feel free to move it where it belongs
It looks like an ANH recast, but truthfully I have no clue haha.
I was wondering if the wise members on TDH could help me figure this out?

There is a little carving on the lower back of the helmet that says "20th Century Fox" and then the little copyright sign.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

no, the Don Post helmets had 20th century fox in the back of them, its not an ANH helmet, what else would you like to know? Where did you get it?

Well, my dad had actually gotten it from a friend of his who was closing down his vintage clothing store. He was helping clear all of his stuff out and selling things for him, and the guy said he could keep the helmet. I wasn't expecting much from it, but I've always been curious about what it is.
Would it be worth it to sell it? Or is it just worthless?

well it certainly isn't 'worthless' I mean someone will probably want it, thats not to say its worth a lot financially if you get me.

Ya I gotcha. How much work would you say it would take to make it into a nice functional 501st worthy helmet?

as for amt of work and money? probably not worth ur while - and prob cheaper to buy a MR CE lid instead if u are going for 501 status

as for its worth - as is, there are still people buying DP stormmie lids on the Bay; so it must be worth something. but to people on TDH and other prop forums - u prob wouldnt get more than novelty interest I would say. soz mate

anyway - to facechubb; I think that would be best option if u arent thinkin of something as a novelty cossie urself. if u are lookin for ncie tips on stormies check out the 1st Imperial stormtrooper detachment (FISD) or ask other TK vets on here eg stormtrooper guy and others who have answered here already

I would be happy answer on here or in pm; but bear in mind I only have abt 7mths experience in the prop world ;P

I had one of these. I think I got it in 96-97'. I cut out the eyes and gave it to my 4 yr old nephew. They are way off. I think they sell on Ebay about $20.
