Might be a RS recast because of the sharp vocoder? Why do you guys shoot first and ask later?

Looks more like a TE SFS (Set For Stun) or a recast of it. They were made in one piece fiberglass.

I actually acquired it at a garage sale from an elderly couple to be honest, their son had moved out and they were selling his 'junk'
$15 seemed like a good price ha ha

I'll give you double ?

I think Locitus is right (y)

I'll look up the "TE SFS" and see where it came from

EDIT: looks like the TE SFS helmets came from scans of actual helmets

Yes, I forgot about the SFS helmet, and yes, they come from an OLD scan of a stunt helmet. It's fun to see it's the same helmet being sold on eBay for a few months.

Yeah, the SFS 1:1 scale helmets were made by CNC-ing a block of foam making a master, and moulding it, using the 3D-scan of the SFS helmet. They lost some details in the process but later on a miniature (1:3 scale) SFS helmet was 3D-printed which kept the original details captured in the scan and that master was later moulded and minitures were made in 2 runs on the RPF. I actually have one of those from the 2nd run. I think RS is now in possession of the miniture mould.

I think TE also made some vac formed SFS helmets in HDPE. How he produced the vac moulds from 1-piece cast however is beyond my knowledge of mould making. Maybe Chris knows how that could be done?

Most cases, absolutely !

This one looks REALLY clean. Though I'm still inclined to believe it to be a recast in spite of that. Mainly because I don't recall ever seeing a slush cast of one of these. Ever. But I could be wrong.

I had (and sold) two of them in glass.

Hopefully this is genuine :D
How much did genuine versions of the TE SFS sell for?
