    Tatooine Sith Stalker Pictures

I've been working on remaking the Tatooine Sith Stalker costume from The Force Unleashed. Here is a picture of the costume as seen in the video game...

    sith-stalker-7.jpg

I've gotten a lot of work on the costume done, and I really like how it's looking so far. Here are some WIP pictures...

    sith-stalker-tatooine-costume-1.jpgsith-stalker-tatooine-costume-2.jpgsith-stalker-tatooine-costume-3.jpgsith-stalker-tatooine-costume-4.jpg

I still need to recieve the helmet I ordered off of the mywickedarmor website, but I have all the bandages for the head done. (I just didn't wear them on the pictures.) I also need to make an arm blade for the costume and buy a Force fx lightsaber. After I recieve the helmet, I will take more pictures and upload them on here, and then I will see what I will do next...

Edit: Check out the finished costume here! http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f45/t...inished-42635/

Update: Okay, I have all of the bandages done, (For the head and neck) and I'm completely out of tan fabric. (I probably won't need to use any more of it though, so I'm alright.) The helmet should be coming in the mail very soon, and I found the website I'm going to order the force fx lightsaber from. (I'm going to order the darth vader fx lightsaber for 90 dollars.) If anyone knows of a better place to get force fx lightsabers, please feel free to post a link!

Yeah, but I would rather have an actual force fx lightsaber to hold. I might consider getting his for the ones on the belt though...

Another Update: Today, I went to the dollar store and found the perfect thing to use on my costume. They are plastic screws, (or something like that,) and they look exactly like the spikes on the Tatooine Sith Stalker costume!

    tatooine-sith-stalker-costume-5.jpgtatooine-sith-stalker-costume-6.jpgtatooine-sith-stalker-costume-7.jpg

I might have an idea on how to attach them to the helmet, but I have no idea how I'm going to use them on my arms...

Thats super awesome, i really enjoyed Sith Stalker in the game. You must have a lot of patience, because I wouldn't be able to wrap my self in to bandages before every Con. Keep us updated!

    Okay, I will.

And yes, the costume does take quite a bit of time to put on. About thirty minutes if you have someone helping you...

Hot glue works wonders for me. If you don't have a hot glue gun, spend the $15 and you'll never regret it. ;-) Looking cool man! Those spikes look awesome!

I agree, I bought glue gun before I started building my Stormtrooper and It made my work easier in many ways.

on your arms I would attach them to flat round discs and push them through the fabric?

Yes, the disc idea for the arms sounds like it will work. Im thinking about using Velcro for the ones on my head so it won't ruin the helmet. (I want the helmet to have removable spikes in case I ever make an ordinary sith stalker costume.)

Yeah, I was going to do that after I finished all the other parts on the costume. Do you happen to know how I would do that exactly? I want to make it look dirty, but I have no clue how...

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I finished adding the spikes onto my arm bandages. Here are a couple pictures...

    tatooine-sith-stalker-costume-8.jpgtatooine-sith-stalker-costume-9.jpg

I used hot glue, (Of course! ) and pins to attach them to my arms. They stay on surprisingly well, and I really like how they turned out...

Well, I just tried the tea staining trick on a sample piece of fabric, so I will see how that works out...

How would you suggest I use real dirt? Do I just go outside and get it dirty? Or do I buy a bag of dirt and pour it over my fabric or something like that?

Looks great!!!! For dirt, hmm, I'd say just grab some brown or whatever dirt color you like of a gloss spray paint, valspar works good, and use that on the fabric.

    Re: Tatooine Sith Stalker Pictures

I'd try acrylic paints in shades of brown.
dilute with water and "tie-dye" your stuff in different shades of brown.
it's acrylic so you can wash it out some before it sets and it will fade with every wash.

it's not do one thing or the other... try it all.
get some color in it, then drag it through the mud (literally) let the stains set, then wash it some.
it's Tatooine so no grass stains but dust is gonna be a must after it's all dirty.
I'd try to find some of the Sandtrooper weathering tutorials on the Legion boards, after all they are also from Tatooine...

    Re: Tatooine Sith Stalker Pictures

Yeah, I'm going to see what I can do with the weathering. I got an email from mywickedarmor saying the helmet is only 1/3 done, so I have a lot of time to work on the other parts of the costume. (Before I work on the spikes for the helmet and everything...)

Edit: The tea staining didn't work out too well on that sample piece of fabric, so I probably won't do that. I'm thinking that I'm going to use dark tan spray paint and lightly spray it over some parts of the costume. That will make it dirty as well as accurate to the official costume...

    Re: Tatooine Sith Stalker Pictures

Update: Okay guys, the fabric parts are done now! I used scissors to cut them up a bit more, and made them look more tattered. Afer that, I used acrylic paints, a sponge, and water to make them look weathered. Here are a couple pictures...

    When wet:

    tatooine-sith-stalker-costume-10.jpg

    When dry:
    tatooine-sith-stalker-costume-11.jpg

    All done:
    tatooine-sith-stalker-costume-12.jpg

I really like how these turned out. I added stains onto the lower part of the skirts, the arm bands, and the head bands. (Those are the places on the real costume that are dirty) Now, all I need are a few more edits to this costume and I'll be done!

    Re: Tatooine Sith Stalker Pictures

Update: Alright, I took more pictures of the complete costume so far because I wanted to show off how the spikes and dirt staining look. (You can't see the dirt very well on the pictures...) Here are the pictures...

    tatooine-sith-stalker-costume-13.jpgtatooine-sith-stalker-costume-14.jpg
(The main reason I took these pictures were to fix the way my left lightsaber was attached. It was placed on wrong on the first pictures I took...)

Anyway, I recently saved up enough money to buy a force fx lightsaber, but I still haven't recieved the helmet. When I get both of those items I will post pictures of the completed costume! (Unless I think of anything else to add...)

Looking good man! I might suggest a bit more weathering and shredding overall. Shredding on the edges. And really go at it with the dirt, dust and grime. It looks really cool. I can't wait to see the helmet and wrappings. And another suggestion, if you don't get too hot, maybe bulk up the chest and shoulders. just by wearing some more layers? But yeah maybe add some more tatters and dirt. Just my opinion. ;-)

Yeah, the layers thing sound like a great idea! (I'll probably just wear a shirt underneath the one I'm already wearing....) I'm also thinking of ideas for the weathering...

Edit: Going to get more tan fabric this weekend, and I'm going to do some major work on those shoulders. (I have a really good idea on how to bulk them up...) I also have my paint ready so I can do a TON of more weathering. (I just played the game and realized that my costume is not even close to being dirty enough...)

Weathering on the costume is also done, and I'm working on the shoulders now. My next update is going to be MAJOR.

Update: Finally got the helmet from Rob over at Mywickedarmor, and I completed the shoulders. Here are pictures of me with the costume so far...

Now all I have to do is add a couple of helmet details, (such as the spikes) and I will be done!

Thanks. Yeah, the acrylic staining is great for changing the overall color of the costume, but they don't make the costume look dirty enough. I'll see if I can find a different way to make the costume more weathered...

I know, i figured i'd have a go, his price point was a bit out of range for now, and he wouldnt sell it to me unpainted :-/

i mainly look into creating original characters to the best of my ability, i got with Brian (bigwater_99) and he was able to set me up with his custom revan helmet kit, so im good for now! good luck on the costume, its coming out great!

Haha, I actually wanted to buy mine unpainted too, but he wouldn't let me. I think he doesn't want people to recast it...

eh, if i had the skill to cast, period, i would be making my own stuff lol. i do special fx makeup, just havent gotten into the whole helmet making thing, seems complex, and im tight on money and space right now!

but i mean...paint stripper can remove any paint so....idk, either way, he makes a great piece, i would never copy one based off his.

The costume looks great... With weathering and dirtying up of the clothes don't be afraid to use heavier browns and black... They also will not always show in pics unless its upclose... so do not be discouraged...
