New Hunter
I was wondering what color # testors i could use to paint the frown and the buttons on the abdomen. if i can get better paint some where else. like home depot or walmart and such, a recommendation would be nice

any and all help is greatly appreciated

also, finals are a pain in the you know where :cry

I did some research before I repainted my MR CE Stormie bucket, and I guess the most widely "accepted" gray is Humbrol #5 (Admiralty Gray) followed very closely by Testors #1138.
The Testors is probably much easier to find. At least it was for me! :)

So, I finished the helmet, but i have a problem

The helmet is way too small for me, i mean, i can corkscrew it on and thats hard enough.
So what can i cut from the bottom, can someone do some fancy photoshoping/ms painting to show me whats ok.

thanks again.

Yeah, a lot of people have that problem with the AP bucket, myself included. The most that I've seen just put it on sideways, but you can trim it back. I suggest you go here and look around. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php? You'll find much more archived information on the subject than you would here. (y) :cheers

I don't have either, but I do know a think about TKs.

That looks correct. MR is bright white, where the raw AP has a bit of a "blue" to it. It's the ABS that has the tint. All ABS has some color variations, and it's never "true" white.

You can either leave it as is or paint it to match your completed suit. It's next to impossible to match "white" plastic so most just pick a paint and paint everything to match.

It's not just a problem for AP, it's all ABS armor that's unpainted.

Another example is the FX kit. When you buy a complete kit, you don't need to paint (everything is from the same run of plastic). However, if you change buckets or get replacement parts, there will be slight variations to the shade/color of white. Odd I know, it's true. So your options then become paint the entire suit, get a new kit, or live with the slight color changes.

Did you get the trim done on the neck? I would suggest you take a little more off the front (if you have not already done so). It's 100% normal to put your bucket on sideways.

corkscrewing the helmet on is how most folks do it. i shaved a *tiny* bit out from under the chin on mine to make it more pleasant... less than 1/4". i wouldn't want to go any further for fear of looking like the new rubies stormie.

well, the circumference of my head is about 62 centimeters, lol. =[

But I shaved a bit all around and it fits if i corkscrew it on and shove it down, haha.

Thanks for all the help so far gentlemen.

William
