Starkiller Attempt 2
Hey all- Here is the glassed armor. What a pain! anyhow, it has turned out pretty well (w/ some help) however, its a bit snugg thru the chest which was a result of my "not so good" manaquin. I am thinking of just using this as a cast and maybe sculpting some sintra over it? What are some thoughts? Maybe cardboard and spakle?
Thnx

Re: Starkiller Attempt 2
You should smooth the surface with bondo. Then you can cast it in a lighter stuff like fiberglass.

Re: Starkiller Attempt 2
Hey ogait- The photo is w/ fiberglass and rough layer of bondo. Because it is a bit snugg I thought maybe I can just use it as a cast mold for a different material such as sintra or something else. What do u think?

Re: Starkiller Attempt 2
I have never worked with sintra. However, I don't think sintra will fit the shape. I mean, you can get the main shape that covers the shoulder itself... but the neck part will be more difficult. Since sintra is cheap, I suggest you try it first and if you don't like the results sand the original piece and go for the long route (silicon-latex mold + fiberglass casting)
