Wow! Awesome sculpt.
Looks great! Can't wait to see this finished...
Awesome! My 2nd favorite costume to Boba is a well built SnowTrooper. Will these be availble for sale?
Awesome sculpt.
Wow! Looks great!
Great work! I have always loved the snowtrooper armor! I can't wait to see the completed costume. I'll have to check your site more often for updates on your progress. As always your excellent work amazes me!
I cut the front and rear cowl templates last night and did a test fitting. Pictures just show the front cowl in position.

Boba Fett cold weather gear?Looks very awesome Daz.
Here's the WIP shots bobamaker: Snowtrooper Build
That's great! I've always loved your step by steps... truly inspirational
Mould is finished and the first copy is pulled. It's trimmed and painted with "non yellowing" white Enamel Paint. I then used a cutting compound on the surface to get it incredibly smooth. It now looks and feels just like ABS plastic. I've also fitted the cowl and lenses. I now need to put some padding on the inside and fit a chin strap... oh, and weather it..!
Impressive work! Love it!
Excellent Daz! Are you going to complete the other pieces of the armour?
Awesome as usual....but you cant really expect anything less from you though.
I must say, if this is offered as a complete or even partial armor set, put me down top of the list. I'm all in. I just finished my Fett (well, finished enough to wear) and I'm itching to start the next project. I'm a huge fan of your work (my helmet is a Bobamaker) and I have a partial set of armor of yours I plan to paint myself. I would like to tackle the Snowtrooper. Such a great design!
Ted
Insane work Bobamaker! Can't wait to see all the other armor components come to life! I want one!!
Wow Awesome dear Daz!!!!!!! as always Bro!!!!!!!

OK, I will be selling helmets very soon, I'm just finalising the best way to attach the cowl and the most effective padding for the inside then they're ready to go. Knees are sculpted and I will be moulding them in the next couple of days. I'm about to start sculpting the hand armour, this should be pretty quick as it will be done in wet clay which is a very fast way to work.
I will be updating my website very soon with comparison shots of my helmet against the ILM props. http://www.bobamaker.co.uk/Snowtrooper_Build.html

I know the thread is called "snowtrooper HELMET" but I can't seem to change it to "Helmet and Armour"
Not to worry, the knee sculpts are now complete, I'm really pleased with the way they turned out. These are now ready to mould. I will update my website with the build process very soon.

Beatiful Daz!!!!!!!!!

The knees look 110% on the money. Just went to your site and I love the way you built up the helmet sculpt. Very simple. The skateboard helmet you used is perfect too, I have been using a M1 Helmet Liner as a base for my Galactic Marine helmet and now I want to switch to the skaters helmet you are using

I bought a skater helmet for my scratch build Boba helmet. Thanks for the inspiration! Your work is great, my friend.
When and how much?![]()
I have 3 helmets cast and ready to ship:
- HELMET 1 = fully finished and weathered - pictures attached.
- HELMET 2 = Painted white and has the cowl and lenses cut and ready to fit.
- HELMET 3 = In grey primer, Lenses and Cowl cut.
I just need to work out the price for an unfinished kit, a painted kit and a fully painted and weathered helmet.
DAZ
Beautiful helmet, I love it. Really![]()
Awesome!
Really cool to see the construction pics of everything. Great work!
Great work the weathered one could be the real prop,
Though one thing I did notice today when watching ESB (though Im sure you looked at heaps of reference mateiral so I may be wrong) the nose on the real ones seems to stick out quit far almst like the stormtroopers as if it was cut off at the teeth, and the cowl sort of hangs down from the point of the nose, if that makes sense,
How ever once again another great sculpt from you , knees look great , Imlooking forward to seeing you do the shoulders
For sure , Im, sure its well with in your ability to make the observation your self ,
either way a great helmet
The MUKLUKS arrived today, bit of a problem....
Just need to make the boot straps now and these are finished.
DAZ
I can't tell which is the new and which is the used boot. Amazing skills, amazing job!
That's insane wish I had your talent..keep up the good work I'll be looking to you in future
Wow the quality of your costumes are truly unbelievable! Lucas himself didn't do such a good job!
Re: KaanE
LOL I know that... I didnt feel like going and finding out who sculpted the original!I am lazy!
I've now finished sculpting this item. It's made from polyurethane resin with an "ALUMINIUM COLDCAST" surface.
DAZ
That helmet is amazing! I'm looking to replace my cowl. Got ahold of MC and they're back-ordered for the material for a month, but I can wait.
My helmet arrived yesterday. DAZ, you did a Great Job! Thank you very much. I had to fix the cowl a little bit but that was no problem. I love it![]()
Holy god...thats awesome DAZ! I guess i know where im getting my snowtrooper from!
I recently finished my 'doopydoos' E-11 blaster. What a great kit, very little cleanup needed and great detail. This finished blaster is for display on my Snowtrooper mannequin (when finished). Here are some "close up" pics showing the weathering.
I also just finished the "Shoulder' Armour sculpt. This means that I just need to sculpt the gauntlets and Chest piece to complete all the body armour. Click this link if you want to see how I sculpted this bobamaker: Snowtrooper Build
DAZ
Thats a kit blaster?
I might throw mine in the bin now, I thought that was a genuine sterling.
Craig
It's a resin kit, here's the kit all laid out prior to the build.
Weathering was pretty straightforward, my website shows how I built and weathered it bobamaker: Snowtrooper Build
DAZ
Unbelievably awesome. I love the detail you give on your website as well.
Wow - your work is amazing
Just approved my Snowie with one of the first bobamaker helmets! I received a lot of compliments for the great lid![]()
