Muy buen trabajo!!
What is the website for the Stalker helm? thanks guys
Awesome can't wait to see it finished and sweet sabers!:thumbsup
Awesome Oo It's amazing work!!!
are you gonna cast the helmet?
As for the blades on the fingers, I thought he skipped his ring finger on both hands... Unless thats only in this suit:Attachment 42140 If you do cast the bucket, can you also do this one? It's my FAVORITE version.
Really hopin this becomes an offered complete stalker suit
Thought it was time for a bit of an update.
Been working all hours lately, so just managed to squeeze in starting the las part of the build.
It's the bit I have been relishing the most- the prosthetic arm!
One of the few things I am able to life cast on my own is my right fore arm.
I started by plugging some drainage pipe with a piece of mdf.
Mixed up €70 euros worth of alginate(dental impression material) and stuck my arm in.
2 mins later I pulled out my arm and poured in some cheapish dental stone called 'Caffa D'
It's much harder than plaster which helps when you are casting narrow things like fingers.
As soon as that was set (10 mins) I cut away the pipe and carefully pulled the alginate away.
After a quick clean up I coated the cast in Diamond glaze and mounted it on a rotating block ready for the sculpt.
Wow, I was just going to do this. do you mind telling me how much alginate you used?
This was 4 packs @ 500g. Doesn't seem enough until you mix it up!
Wow! This is supremely awesome, kudos!
this is amazing! cant wait to see it done! im a big fan of the game and cant wait for the 2nd one! good job man keep it up!
Long day in the workshop and a very rushed sculpt as I'm trying to get this ready for Invasion Dublin. That's only 2 weeks away now!!!!!!
It is supposed to be a bit beaten up and covered in blood and muck so hopefully I'll get away with it.
The gaps in the 3 fingers are where the blades attach and the bullet hole looking things are for the tubes that come from the arm.
Massively looking forward to the next game coming out too. I wonder what awesome costumes that one has in store for us?
That's rushed?!?! I think you've done a fantastic job on it, SP!
First and foremost: You are doing it right.
I've been watching your progress with singular interest to see your version of the right arm prosthetic. I like your approach very much. I would however, suggest not encasing the entire hand in glove. See these references;
Note the effort taken to preserve as much "living" tissue as possible. I believe this to be a nod to why Darth Vader does not call upon Sith Lightning in battle; he cannot because both of his arms are fully prosthetic. The conclusion, derived long ago, was that flesh--specifically arms--is needed to conduct this aspect of the Force.
Kudos and be well,
Thank you for your input Thomas. I was wondering when the living tissue/Sith lightning issue would be raised. I would certainly agree with you on that.
Unfortunately It's a little late in the day to change this particular sculpt as it is already in the mould.
I wish I'd had those images a bit sooner. This is something I have struggled with throughout this build- reference pics!
I have spent countless hours scouring the web and looking at the game but with very little success. I have even purchased the gentle giant half busts but they are yet to turn up, and as I mentioned before, the clock is ticking. After seeing these pics I will definitely be sculpting a more accurate hand in the near future.
I believe you started a Sith Stalker a while ago, any updates?
The half busts dont come out till next week...the 31st to be exact
If anyone gripes in person about the accuracy of that arm, give them a good lump on their melon!
OOh thats nice!
You could stretch something over it like a latex or something similar as a kind of skin glove.
