Sandtrooper (updated pics)

GRINCH

Active Hunter
** Removed black dots - added more weathering to eyes - placed ammo pouches in correct way. I resent the new pics and am awaiting 501st approval***

Hi all. Well this is my second SW costume. My first was a SE Boba Fett (that I regret selling) & I am currently working on a Jango Fett (my son's favorite) that is about 85% done. I have sent pics to the 501st of my TD & am waiting on approval & number. What do you all think? What do I need to alter/change? This was my first time wearing it & I know my wife said it "looked fine" for the pics, but I trust you guys when it comes to this. Please let me know...

Thanks! Going for the Wookie scalps. Also added a few "teeth" for added trophies!

I'm a sandie too, and here's a little thing you might want to do: The belly buttons are supposed to be all white, and only 3 of them. Most people only remove the uppermost of them.

The mag-pouches on the belt, are supposed to be on the hips, at the sides. Easy enough to fix up.

You have a backpack? The backpack is not required for 501st sandtrooper status, but needed for MEPD deployed status.

Not sure I've seen you around at mepd.net, but have a look in there. It is, after all, the dedicated web pages for sandtroopers ;)

I have no doubt that you'll make it, but good luck in any case! And hope to welcome you into the "dirty" brotherhood shortly!

Man I love the sandtroopers and yours looks very good. But I don't know the small details enough to critique you.

I too have a Sandy and am MEPD deployed.
Adding to what TD7620 already mentioned about the AB buttons;
1.Raise the ammo belt back up to just below the ab detail. It's about 4 inches too low right now.
2. Add a little weathering on the raised areas around your "eyes". with that much white exposed, it looks like you have goggles on.
From what I can see in the picture, it appears that you have used the "black plunger" for your backpack,

can you post pics of the whole pack?
And can you post up pics from the waist down also? I'd like to see the boots & knees.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Been a little busy.
The Sniper knee should be on it's own, meaning the original kneeplate for the TK should be removed before adding the TD style plate

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I was just approved into the 501st. I am now
TD-8696 Tampa Bay Squadron. Now I'm going to focus on finishing Jango. Already thinking of my next project....Ep.III Clone
