New darth vader costume white!

Holla SWcostumebuilders, I need some help,
I 'm planning to make my own darth vader costume, but I want to make it defferent than the usual one. I want to make a white version..
My experience is zero, but I have a great SW costume builder nearby. Money isn't a problem, but it has a limit.
Questions: 1 how to make or get a mold for helmet, shoulder armour, shin pads e.d.
2 If a mold is to expensive or hard to get where can I purchase the darth vader items.
3.How to paint or airbrush the whole costume. (I have some experience it that part)

It depends on which Vader Helmet you want, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, or Revenge of the Sith.

I will be offering the ANH (A New Hope) "Mystery" Vader Helmet after I do some restoration on the helmet I have, it's a rare "ANH" casting that will be available in a couple of months...

Heres a nice reference pic i found a few weeks back. Supposably it was based on a what if comic if Vader was redeemed but did not die so he would still require the suit, but he would be a Jedi this time around.

I had this picture from a while back.This is one of the coolest looks i have seen,hope it helps.

That's the costume of darth Vader. I already got a load of e-mails. Hopefully I also find a tailor who makes the leather parts for me for a good price.
My last question is can you repaint the already painted parts from a black Darth Vader. I thougth that you first have to remove the old paint. Next will be a basecoat and then the finishing colour; white.

Thats awesome, you could even give him Obi-wan's lightsaber. If He was redeemed and didnt die and became a Jedi Knight he would certainly use either Qui-gon's or Obi-Wan's right? HIs old one fell from cloud city you'd never find that one.

White Vader just does not look right. The comic one was okay, but to me the white costume looks like its in primer awaiting the shot coat of gloss black

I have got some friends who are pro SW costume builders. I only need to find a tailor who can make the soft parts for the costume. I have got an adres in Rotterdam. When everything is finished I will send some photo's.

My one suggestion would be to try and do something different with the lenses so they don't look like just holes in the helmet, almost like there are no lenses at all! Somehow the lenses in this White Vader costume don't look as good as they do in let's say, a TK helmet. Is there a way to add a metallic / silver look to them and still retain some sort of visibility? The way the lenses are right now, it just makes the helmet look unfinished!

In the end, I hope it all comes together like you hope it will!

I'd echo that on the helmet lenses.
Mirrored lenses might work, also less pure white and more shades would make it look less bland.

My understanding is that this was a suit made by Jedi Jeffrey and a friend of his. You might want to try to contact him through eBay and ask, but when I saw him a little while ago I recall that he said he had worked on this suit.

How'd you make the boxes on the belt?

Suggestion:

Instead of an all-white Vader, go back and look at that comic pic. He has shades of gray. Perhaps a "not-quite white" look would help alleviate that black lenses in white "look".

Perhaps gray armor w/ white undersuit, maybe a gray cape. It would look distinctive, giving you the "redeemed Vader" look, but not quite the
Snowstormed Vader.

I'm still not buying into it. If he was redeemed, how come they don't give him a less scary looking life support system. They could come up with something, like a transparent bubble over his head (bubble boy Vader) It just does'ent work fellas, come on.

OK, OK Enough laugther! It's clear that the opinions of an albino darth vader are strong opposites! Some think of an albino like :puke:puke !
But some are still ++ curious.
- First cherry red lenses, NO WAY DUDE! I have paintball lenses amber-red.
- No I haven't painted a perfectly black darth vader helmet white! I bougth a helmet just out off a mold. Same as the shoulderarmour, shinguards, boxes and buckle.
-I have used 3 different kinds of white! So the albino isn't looking like a frozen snowcone!!
-The hard parts are battledamaged! Cause some vaders are looking brand-new, just out the bubble wrap.
- Undersuit+codpiece+gloves is made by the famous SWToys in Argentina. Looks worn and used.8)
- HUGE Cape and robe are made in Texas
- Boots are mean-looking white bikerboots from LA. Not those fancy boots!
When you have guts I'll see you at the Celebration IV next year.

After a long time a lot of desiging, preping, painting buying and the working The Big Al(bino Vader) is finished! I know that there are a lot of +++ and --- vibes for the whole albino thing. But see for yourself..8)

Just noticed that you have an ANH helmet with ESB/ROTJ gloves, and only three knobs on the belt boxes. Oh my!!! Ok, call me anal...

I know I'm not the complete and perfect copy of darth vader. But that wasn't my goal.8)
I just want to be an albino Vader in a different style. That's why the costume isn't the perfect copy!
I got great reaction of the SWfans, when I'm on the street with a few of my SW friends. I know how to get the attention . Easy 2 or 3 Stormtroopers to get teh first attention than 6 or 7 feet of space than White Vader and than 3 feet space and 2 Stormtroopers as guards.

Tomorrow the question will be asked which city wil be our goal master White vader. Amsterdam will be.

Yep, it's a great shop! But I'm the only SW fan who's got the guts to ask for a photoshoot as white vader!

I became a member of a small Dutch SW outpost, Troopingunlimited, and they all +++ freaked out when they saw this uniform! Yep, we have a few Stormtroopers, the Emperor, a few Jedi's (padawans!! they will turn to the dark side!) and in december 2006 a new member will become a huge HUGE darth Vader. He is 6'10" or 7 feet, (the Undertaker?!!). I know when he is in uniform he will be a GIANT VADER!

I beleive someone did up a white vader like that hello kitty one for C4. can't remember if it was another photoshop or the real deal, but it didn't look fake (and I should know since I've been learning it to death).

Well, I went to google and typed in "white vader" and the first link that showed up was to this thread.

So maybe the entirety of the internetz is getting its fill of the albino lord from the comfort of the TDH forums!

By the way, I really like your interpretation of the white Vader, but I wonder why you didn't do some blue eyes like he has in the picture? Just personal preference?

I think the white vader is cool, its different from everyone else. there is nothing wrong with being different. I look forward to seeing the finnished costume.
