My crack at the Hasbro Clone Helmet

At the more than appropriate suggestion of Cruzer.... I have started this new thread

Well, you have all inspired me and frightened me at the same time! However, I have now started the design of my "bounty hunter" using the Hasbro Clone Helmet as my base. When you see my initial picture, most of you will know where I got my ispiration from. I even have a back story as to why the helmet will look like it will. I do plan on adding accoutrements to it, but am as of yet, undecided as to what and where.

Secondly, the armor will be a hybrid as well, much like the helmet.

So, let me know what you think and I will GLADLY take any suggestions. Keep in mind, it is just the initial planning stage and I have yet to come up with a color scheme etc.

That being said, I also want to thank everyone for just being open to let those of us out here try something non-canon. It really has made all the difference in me finally wanting to try something new!

I have come up with a color scheme. Complete with distressing... Though as you all know, that could change as things progress. Still have yet to decide on the accoutrements though.

Well I like it. :) It'll be interesting to see how this comes across in a real build. Especially those green mandables that run over the frown and down the chin.

I do think though that it may be a nightmare to wear with such a narrow "T-visor"??

The visor may need to be opened up, but I will see once I get it cut and play around with it. When I have all the materials, I'll post an image. Its gonna take me a while to gather what I need, as I'm on a budget. At the very least, it'll be a fun try!

I hear ya, my custom Mando goes through changes as I go. It's part of the process I think. I'm sure you'll love it! I've loved every minute of working on my Custom, it's hard work but well worth it! ;)

That looks sweet! I really like to see the clone helmets reworked into something amazing.

Will this be a Mandalorian bounty hunter, or just your standard scum-and-villainy type? Either way, I'd like to extend an invite to come check out the Mandalorian Mercs forums, where custom creations are not only allowed, but wholeheartedly welcomed and encouraged. :thumbsup

I can't wait to see more progress on this! Every build-up thread I see makes me want to get one of these helmets and do my own. Too many projects....

It will be a former clone captain, gone bounty hunter. Fortunately, there is precedent for that so I don't feel I've gone too far afield.

i see from your plans as well that u are gonna build up the helmet rim; or is that just for the drawing alone?
